City Weekthun Retreat 2007

City Weekthun Retreat 2007
Theme: Peace on Earth
Cost: Free of charge – Donations gratefully accepted

December 15 – 21 the Shambhala Center in San Antonio will be open for Meditation Practice from 8:30am to 9pm daily. This week of meditation will include an audio workshop in the afternoons: Ruling Your World – Ancient Strategies for Modern Life with Sakyong Mipham and a video workshop in the evenings: Practicing Peace in Times of War with Pema Chodron and Richard Reoch. The week will also include discussion groups, contemplative lunches, rota assignments, and meetings with meditation instructors.

The City Weekthun is an opportunity for us to connect deeply with meditation while relating it directly with our regular life. The practice of sitting meditation slows our torrent of thoughts and distractions and uncovers the stable, clear and potent quality of our mind. Practitioners of all levels are invited to join us in this week of spacious mind - for the entire week, one day, or one session. Functional talking is suggested.

It is important to us that the community practices together; it enriches the heartbeat of our Center. If you are able to serve as timekeeper for one or more of these sessions please contact Nina Jones.
