This year's Shambhala Day Schedule is as follows:
8:30 AM
- Sunrise Toast by the Pig
9 AM - Lhasang followed by Elixir of Life Sadhana
10:00 AM - Roll Call and Sakyong Address by Teleconference
11:00 AM - Presentation of New Members
Oath Ceremony for Retiring and Incoming Officers
Fundraising Appeal
12 PM - Community Lunch: Minestrone Stone Soup - bring one ingredient to add to the soup!
Annual Shambhala Year in Review video
Everyone, members and friends, new and old, are welcome to celebrate the Year of the Fire Pig at the Shambhala Meditation Center. Shambhala Day is the major holiday on the Tibetan/Shambhalian calendar. All over the globe, people will gather in their local centers to practice, enjoy good food, socialize, and celebrate.
The highlight of the day is the annual Shambhala Day Address by Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche which is broadcast to every Shambhala center in the world. Please mark this event and come for all or as much as you can.
