The Sakyong announces enthronement of Khandro Tseyang Palmo as Sakyong Wangmo

The Sakyong,
Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche, would like the entire
Shambhala mandala to receive this message:
"I am extremely delighted to announce that His Holiness Drupwang Penor Rinpoche will be conducting the Sakyong Wangmo investiture of my wife, Khandro Tseyang Palmo. His Holiness said that being a Sakyong Wangmo takes distinctive qualities, and he truly feels Khandro Tseyang has those qualities. He is delighted to conduct and officiate at this empowerment, a unique ceremony.
"This investiture will confer the title of Sakyong Wangmo on Khandro Tseyang, and thus she will become the Queen of Shambhala. This is a wonderful and rare occasion for our community, and we want to invite everyone, regardless of their practice level, to attend.
"I am also delighted that the reigning Sakyong Wangmo, Lady Diana Mukpo, will be in attendance. The presence and wisdom of the Mother Lineage are embodied in her, and she has made it clear that she wishes to support the continuity of the Sakyong Wangmo lineage on this delightful occasion. Her role in continuing to manifest the Mother Lineage will be marked by her investiture, during the enthronement ceremonies, as the Druk Sakyong Wangmo.
"These ceremonies will thus strengthen and further empower the Mother Lineage. The role of the Sakyong Wangmo is to bring about harmony, prosperity, peace and decency in the world. The enthronement of the Sakyong Wangmo will mark a time of celebration as well as growth for Shambhala. I am honoured that His Holiness has taken such personal care in this, reflecting his deep connection with both the Shambhala and the Ripa lineages. It is also auspicious that this ceremony will occur during the forthcoming Kalapa Festival, with the Gesar empowerments, so that our community has plentiful reason to come together.

The ceremonies will take place during the Kalapa Festival, being held in in Halifax from 11 to 19 August. Registration details will be announced shortly.
The event, "The Kalapa Festival: King Gesar and the Royal Lineage of Shambhala", will include Gesar teachings and empowerments by His Eminence Namkha Drimed Rinpoche, as well as teachings by the Sakyong, Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche, and Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche.
As the Sakyong and Khandro Tseyang have invited the entire Shambhala community to attend, there are no longer any practice restrictions on attendance. Within the offerings of the festival, there will be teachings and practice on drala and werma to deepen the experience of those who are currently practicing the Werma sadhana.
The festival and the enthronement will take place at St. Mary's University, Halifax, where reasonably priced accommodations will be available. Space for the enthronement day is limited. Priority will be given to those attending the entire festival. If space allows, further announcements will be forthcoming about attending the one-day enthronement ceremonies.
