Feng Shui Fundraiser
December 24, 2007
Dear Sangha,
In March 2008, Ms. Eva Wong, the Sakyong's personal Feng Shui Master, will visit the Shambhala Centers in San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin. Representatives from our Center will meet with Ms. Wong in a one-day consultation for her to point out areas in San Antonio where we might someday relocate the Center. She will also offer advice on how to organize our current Center. Rinpoche has requested all Shambhala Centers consult Ms. Wong regarding organization of the Centers in accordance with Court Principle. This will help our Center more effectively propagate the Shambhala teachings and work of creating an Enlightened Society.
This is a great opportunity for us to meet with Ms. Wong, considering the recent improvements we have made to the shrine room and the Center in general.
The cost for her consultation is $1,300.00 per Center. This is a substantial commitment for our small Center, but a generous donation of a matching fund of up to $650 has been offered to defray the total cost. We have received $375.00 in donations so far, which means as of this moment, we have already raised $750.00 towards the $1, 300.00 total.
If you wish to donate towards this worthy goal, you may do so below. The deadline for contributions is December 31.
Contact: Nina Jones, who is coordinating Ms. Wong's visit to the Region.
