On Sunday, April 1st, the Shambhala Meditation Center of San Antonio will host the monthly Dharma Discussion Group!  Betsy Pond will facilitate the group meeting from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm.  The discussion topic will be “Hand Mudras.”  Lunch will be provided at 12:30 pm, immediately following the general meditation practice.  The group will explore the history, symbolism, and meanings of the many of the hand mudras used in practice and depicted in various rupas and statues.

Dharma Discussion Group participants include those who are committed to practicing the dharma, and interested in sharing their experiences with one another.  The primary purpose of the Dharma Discussion Group is to discuss Buddhism as a living and conscious way to liberate spirit, and promote discipline in the study the Buddha’s teachings.  All sangha members, as well as interested community members, are invited to join the Dharma Discussion Group at the monthly gatherings.

If you have any questions or concerns about the Dharma Discussion Group, you can contact Todd Russell at
