Take a
break on Friday afternoon, June 1st, and unwind with Qi
Gong! Violaine Morinville, of Montreal, Quebec, will
conduct this two-hour experiential training. In this
workshop participants will explore the fundamental
principles of Qi Gong in various creative dance
movement exercises and basics of Qi Gong. This work
emphasizes body connections, the radiance of Qi,
creativity and movement skills through the art of
dance. This workshop is open to all participants.
The recommended donation for the Qi Gong and Creative Movement Workshop is $20 (Members), $25 (Non-Members), and $15 (Students w/ID). Persons interested in more information about this Workshop should contact Todd Russell (trussell@satx.rr.com or 210-348-7791).
Violaine Morinville has a master’s degree in contemporary dance from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) specialized in Qi Gong (with O Vertigo Danse cie). She has a bachelor’s degree in performance-creation and is a Reiki Master. She founded the Dance Color program with three shutters: Artistic, therapeutic, and contemplative. She is the Director of the International Shambhala Arts Day Festival, and has taught for numerous Arts Festivals for Shambhala. She produces dance shows which combine visual arts, and installations, as well as presenting at conferences and giving lectures in dance and somatics. Violaine’s web page is: www.dansecouleur.com
